Keel Addiction: Milano Surf Culture, Mini Simmons & Dintorni, el zine oficial del Proyecto Líneas de Coyote Painting Walls se ha convertido en una publicación de referencia para la escena surf en Milán. La publicación cuenta con un blog, Hang Ten Lodge que se ocupa de promover la curiosidad y la investigación de las raíces históricas del surf, desde los inicios hasta los años 90, así como de compartir información relacionada con el diseño y realización de surfboards.

Sometimes we people are so much into material things, living a life that is not our but the reflection of the messages imposed by marketing, branding and opinions of others. When I traced the map for the Coyote Skate School I had so clear that our school had to be something different. Something out from the traditional marketing techniques and branding, mainly because we are not a brand but an Ateneo made from people to people, from skaters to skaters.
This is why we have not a uniform, we don’t sell t-shirts and we don’t care about being considered “cool” or “hardcore skateboarders”. The only thing we care about is to make our kids happy. We want to share with them, and with you, all those things we feel when skateboarding or surfing. And for us the only way to reach this point is being ourselves. Being absolutely free.
We rather prefer the imperfection of the streets, or the cracks and potholes of the Parco Lambro Skatepark than the finest indoor skateboard facilities, because we consider skateboarding as something coming from the people and not from brands and companies. Skateboarding honest and real.
Skateboard in about joy but also about falling and tasting this kind of pain that makes you know you are alive. You will feel it and you will love it as we love the feeling of the spring’s sun over our heads and the taste and smell of the winter in the Park.
At this point we can proudly say that we are not part of the “Skateboarding Industry” and we don’t want to be part of it. We just wanna skateboarding and transmit our values and way of live to the next generation.

RECUERDOS SIN TIEMPO
Estos días me encuentro trabajando en la Coyote Skate School Barcelona, entre sesión de skate y sesión de trabajo tengo que encontrar tiempo a llevar al pequeño Ian a la escuela, de la escuela al skatepark y del skatepark a la playa para darnos un baño antes de regresar a casa y volver a ponerme a trabajar recien pasada la medianoche. Es entonces cuando me vienen los recuerdos de otros tiempos, no se si pasados o futuros. Recuerdos que evocan la Babilonia contemporánea...

Acaba de nacer la Coyote Skate School Barcelona, una nueva realidad dedicada a la promoción del skateboarding en la Ciudad Condal. La Coyote Skate School Barcelona tiene en su ADN toda la experiencia que el Club de Surf Indians ha madurado con la escuela de surf SURFCLINIC y con la Coyote Skate School-Scuola Skate Milano.

Surf Clinic, La Escuela de Surf del Cabo Peñas desde 1989
Hace ya unos cuantos años el Club de Surf Indians iniciaba la aventura de abrir una escuela de surf que colmase el vacío de este tipo de estructuras en el Cabo Peñas. Corría el año 2008 y era la culminación de un proceso iniciado en 1989 con la creación de la asociación deportiva y la colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de Carreño y con el Patronato Deportivo Municipal para organizar cursos de surf y otros eventos relacionados con está especialidad. Son 25 años de experiencia y trabajo intenso los que se ofrecen en Surf Clinic, la primera Escuela de Surf del Cabo Peñas que ya desde sus inicios operaba en la franja costera que va desde Xivares hasta Xagó. Hoy. Surf Clinic-La Escuela de Surf del Cabo Peñas está más viva que nunca. En breve recibireis noticias de lo que estamos preparando.

Como se puede deducir de la lectura de Skateando, desde su creaciòn en el 2007, siempre he considerado el skateboard como un arte. Independientemente de si el skater se considera artista o no. Dillon Buss es uno de esos skaters consciente del nivel estètico que puede alcanzar el skateboarding y de las connotaciones artisticas del mismo.

Una vez iniciada la actividad de la Coyote Skateboard School-Milan Skate School en Milán he de decir que me encanta esta nueva aventura. Estar en contacto con las personas que se acercan por vez primera al skateboard es realmente bonito e interesante. Poco a poco os iré contando como se va desarrollando la actividad de la "Scuola Skate" y todas las novedades y noticias que vayan surgiendo.
